The week that whisked by so quickly

Salsa is fun. How hard can it be? Three steps, that's all to it.
Sunburns are awful. Thankfully I didn't look like a tomato.
Beach parties are fun. I still can't tan the white patchy spot on my back. *grrr*
Strawberry milkshakes at the north beach kiosk. The best by far!
Borat the movie is awful and disturbing. Do not watch it. You have been warned.
Yes I am single. Stop asking me already. I am just fine.

My first letter

I was told that the correspondence process would take six months. That was way too long! And patience was something that I didn't have at the time of signing up to be a sponsor. I was excited. After sending off my first letter to my child sometime in July, I had forgotten about the wait, and was only sporadically triggered when I received Compassion's newsletters or various other related publications in my mailbox.

The day came when I was pleasantly surprised to receive my first letter from my sponsor child's parents a few days ago. Of course, Harpy is only six but loves to draw and play with toy guns! Gulp! Hopefully not in a bad way, haha, but like typical boys who like to shoot and play dead. And my beautiful Harpy drew me a love heart. I am extremely humbled by the fact that this family is interested to know more about myself, of which I definitely need more space and more paper than the single-page template letter suggesting that I keep it short than babble on.

So before you splurge on that nice pretty dress or that expensive pair of shoes, think of others less fortunate who will appreciate even your loose change hidden in the depths of your pockets.

No more MIA

I'm back! Hoorah hoorah after more than two weeks without my broadband, I am now connected back to civilisation.
